Though people say that alternative medicines are very good against the symptoms of depression and fibromyalgia, there are no clear evidence available to prove this fact. Some of the alternative medicines for treating fibromyalgia are as follows:

5-HTP is proved to increase the secretion of serotonin ultimately leading to a great relief from depression.

For patients with fibromyalgia, this is prescribed because it creates a good feel and acts as a good remedy from pain.

SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine) – This is another amino acid that will help in boosting the levels of dopamine and serotonin. Both dopamine and serotonin are brain chemicals that are helpful for handling depression and mood swings.

This amino acid will help you gain good sleep which in turn helps in healing your body problems with fibromyalgia.

  • I like the natural remedies versus drug induced medicine that has all the side effects and can cause more problems. I will seek out alternative natural remedies for me and have always chose this route. Perhaps keeping a journal would benefit me daily. Makes good sense and good reference to look back on to sum up my progress on healing.
